The month of January can often place us in a reflective mood here at the Bauman Institute. It is, after all, the same month that we said farewell both to Professor Zygmunt Bauman (on 9 January 2017) and to Professor Keith Tester (14 January 2019). Both left us far too soon.
We have penned more formal obituaries previously – here for Zygmunt; here for Keith – so it was a great privilege to be invited by our dear friends at Thesis Eleven to contribute more personal reflections in their anniversary celebration of Keith Tester. Originally conceived as a series of ‘postcards’ about him, several contributors had far more to say about Keith as a wonderful man and a truly imaginative sociologist.
You can find short contributions by Mark Davis and Jack Palmer to this celebration of Keith by clicking here.
