Summary of Research Area (inc. project funding, recent publications, if applicable)?

Funded by the UK Government Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and working alongside Principal Investigator Dr Mark Davis, the project seeks to explore the barriers and opportunities to utilising Crowdfunding as a way of delivering public infrastructure projects in a way that attempts to create a more sustainable, inclusive and democratic economy.

The School of Sociology and Social Policy has a great reputation for world-class research and a diverse academic community. Having completed my PhD here in 2015 it is a pleasure to be back working in a department that is passionate about producing research with a tangible social impact.
